A Teen’s Choice, Inc. purpose is to add value to each individual served through self-empowerment by focusing on building their self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-worth. With this in mind our mission is to help each individual develop their own identity and reach their full potential. The group and 1 on 1 mentor sessions we provide are tailored to suit the needs of the Northwest Georgia demographic that we serve.
Meet Ciara
Founder of A Teen's Choice, Inc.
Ciara McKnight is a Rome, Georgia native, having been born and raised there. She received her bachelor's degree in Social Work and her masters in Clinical Mental Health from Jacksonville State University. She started her career in 2013 when she began work at the Attention Home in Anniston, Alabama where she worked with adolescents. Upon returning to Rome, Ciara worked with adult males at the Georgia Department of Corrections. Starting in 2018 she began providing counseling services to adolescents, teens, and adults through various Mental Health Agencies. After creating a curriculum for her group sessions entitled “Maximizing Your Value: A Teen’s Choice,” Ciara decided to take the idea and turn it into a non-profit organization: A Teen’s Choice Inc. Ciara’s desire to work with teens and young adults has led her to support her community in numerous aspects. A Teen’s Choice Inc. focuses on guiding teens through some of their most formative years. This is achieved through a series of small group and mentor sessions.
